Your VALUE does not depend on you being recovered and slim or not
Many times when we want to recover from eating disorder or when we want to lose weight, our conscious or subconscious motivation is coming from a place that there is something wrong with us until we recover or lose weight. We are not adequate, acceptable, valuable, lovable until we are slim and recovered.
This is a conditional love and acceptance and says: you are only whole, adequate, appropriate, lovable, worthy, pretty, okay ONLY if you are recovered or slim.
This pressure to be recovered and lose weight so you can be lovable or more valuable is coming from the society or from ourselves and usually from both places.
This is a BIG PROBLEM because this conditional love attitude can be the very reason why you cannot recover or lose weight. It will keep you stuck in eating disorder or weight gain for years until you change it.
Watch this video to learn more about this problem and what you can do about it so you can move forward into recovery and weight loss.
