Avoiding TRIGGERS is NOT Eating Recovery
When we avoid triggers we think we are doing well! We have no problem, we feel like we are recovering. Unfortunately, only until we encounter a trigger! Avoiding triggers is NOTrecovery, it is just avoiding triggers.
When we avoid anything, we think we don’t have any problem anymore. It is just an illusion.
Anyone with eating disorder/issues become very good at avoiding triggers. I know I was! I was an expert on avoiding triggers. I could see all potential dangers that could sabotage my weight loss or diet and many times I successfully avoided them.
Full, real eating recovery is not having any triggers anymore, so you don’t need to avoid anything. It’s a complete eating freedom and YOU can get back to it!
